Dudley’s new Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre opened its doors to the public yesterday. The new centre replaces the old Dudley Leisure Centre and visitors have already been giving fantastic feedback.
We worked with a challenging site on a tight L-shaped plot to complete this project, and spent 18 months delivering the brand new centre. Our design focused on providing the best facilities for the community, including training and teaching pools, a fitness and wellness suite, an immersive spin studio, and an adventure soft play. Accessibility was important, and there are many facilities for both able-bodied and disabled users.
Working with ISG as the main contractor and Furness Partnership as the structural engineer, we have delivered a state-of-the-art centre on behalf of Alliance Leisure. We are delighted to see it open to the public and serving the community.
