The existing shopping parade, adjacent to the brewery and located on Cheltenham’s high street, was outdated and required redeveloping to allow new businesses to trade on the premises. We were commissioned by NFU Mutual, who owned the building, to design a high-profile, mixed-use development in the centre of Cheltenham.
The existing parade was demolished to make way for new retail units along with a hotel and apartment block. Our design included two blocks divided by a pedestrian link which provides direct access from the high street to new shops and the existing brewery.
“I can honestly say that […] one of our best decisions since our inception in 2010 was appointing Roberts Limbrick on the Brewery.”
The regeneration scheme provides a modern, attractive complex and comprises 100,000 square foot of retail space, a 104-bedroom hotel with a restaurant and bar, and 34 residential luxury apartments. The Brewery is now Cheltenham’s stylish, premier destination for shopping, eating out and entertainment.
